Fleet Medical Advisor

The role
Health4Crew provides doctor-led telemedicine and medical oversight for seafarers across a growing international fleet. We’re looking for a licensed physician to join our clinical team as a Fleet Medical Advisor reviewing pre-employment medical exams, providing second opinions, and supporting seafarers and shipping companies with medical guidance.

This is a flexible, part-time role built to run alongside your existing clinical work, hospital shifts, or private practice. You choose where you work from; we just need reliable coverage on a predictable schedule.
Time commitment
~10 days per month on call/email rotation, answering medical inquiries from seafarers and shipping companies.
Ongoing, self-paced review of PEME (pre-employment medical examination) results and second opinions throughout the month — no fixed hours, work in the windows that suit you.
What you’ll do
Medical advisory & second opinions: Review PEME results uploaded to the Health4Crew platform and flag documentation issues.
Provide expert second opinions on discrepancies or concerns raised in medical reports.
Stay current on maritime medicine developments so your guidance reflects industry best practice.
Call & email coverage: Answer medical-related calls and emails from seafarers and shipping companies during your rotation days.
Work under the supervision of our Chief Medical Officer.
Team contribution: Collaborate with our in-house doctor-led clinical team on trends and insights across the fleet.
Contribute to medical awareness materials (fliers, posters, health campaigns) for shipping company clients.
Who we’re looking for
Licensed physician (MD) in good standing — general practitioners are especially encouraged to apply, and all specialties will be considered.
Comfortable explaining medical information clearly to non-medical audiences.
Confident working independently, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Fluent in English.
A strong plus
Experience in occupational or maritime medicine.
Prior telemedicine or remote consultation experience.
Russian, Ukrainian, or Filipino language skills — a significant advantage given the nationalities most represented among the seafarers we support.
Comfort using digital tools for documentation and light content creation.
